Things To Do

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

1000 US-36, Estes Park, CO 80517

You will be required to obtain a timed entry reservation to enter the park after 9am or a timed entry pass + bear lake road after 5am for access to bear lake road. We recommend stopping at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center before entering the park and asking a park ranger for recommendations. We also recommend driving up to the Alpine Visitor Center sitting at an elevation of 11,796 ft. Although the drive to the top is thrilling, there is limited parking once you reach the top and at the several overlooks along the route. Our favorite hike is Emerald Lake although this is only available to you with the bear lake road reservation unless you enter the road before 5am.

Casa Bonita

Casa Bonita

6715 West Colfax Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214

As seen on South Park, Casa Bonita in Lakewood, Colorado (near Denver) is special for its over-the-top, kitschy "eater-tainment" experience, featuring a massive indoor waterfall with cliff divers, Black Bart's Cave, puppet shows, mariachis, and a nostalgic vibe. Reservations are open now but it is often fully booked on weekends so we recommend looking for a time slot now.

Flatirons

Flatirons

900 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO 80302

The Flatirons are the striking, slanted, reddish-brown sandstone formations that make up a portion of Boulder’s foothills on the west side of town. Plenty of trails will take you around and up to the Flatirons, and many of them start from the Chautauqua Trailhead, off Baseline Road. There is limited parking so we suggest arriving early or utilizing a local shuttle.
