We are so thrilled to have this day to share with close friends and family!

Anthony and I have been together since the beginning of 2013, and we have gotten to share so many adventures and memories together over the years. Anthony has always been a real outdoor enthusiast, and in time I’ve learned to love it as well, so we both have that in common now! We now share hunting together multiple seasons a year, we forage together, camp and fish! This beautiful engagement story started years ago. We wanted to start something new that neither of us had really done, backpacking! Yes, although we'd both grown up camping and we were no strangers to tent sleeping, backpacking was a new adventure for us to learn and do together. Something about it sparked us, the idea of just going and having everything we would need on our back was truly thrilling. We set out on our first trip the summer of 2014, we had an absolute blast! We have gone back to the same location a few times since that first year. We even have an "A & J" carved into our little spot on a tree. In June 2020 we decided to go back to our special little spot because it had been a few years. Upon arrival we noticed we were not alone up there as usual, another couple had beaten us to our normal spot. Not such a huge deal as there are plenty of areas around the lake still left, so we stayed and found a new place to set up camp. After getting the spot picked out Anthony set out to fill up the water filter and I stayed around camp to collect firewood. We then set off to go find our special little spot on the tree. To my horror another set of initials we carve right above ours! "Y" and an "N" I was outraged! Why on earth would someone do that?" Then from behind me I heard Anthony say "I think those actually stand for yes or no?"
