Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes! The entire wedding (ceremony and reception) will be an outdoor event in the forest/ Vin Winery Property. The reception will be under a beautiful clear tent in the woods; please consider outdoor terrain when choosing footwear. The wedding will be in the late afternoon/evening in June - so consider the weather when choosing your attire as well. Please note: The property is sprayed for bugs before every event

Adults only ?

Answer

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the reception.

Question

Will transportation to the event be provided?

Answer

We are currently looking into a shuttle to bring guests from the Holiday Inn Express Waterfront in downtown Windsor, out to the Wedding in the Woods venue. The shuttle will return later in the evening to bring guests back to the hotel. You do NOT need to be a guest of the hotel to utilize the shuttle service if you do not want to worry about driving! More information to come

Yes - the property does have free parking

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

As this is an outdoor event in the summer we ask our guests to consider their comfort first and foremost. Garden party attire ( summer suits and summer dresses) would be ideal.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Windsor-Essex county can be warm and humid in the summer - as our event is in the late afternoon/evening we can expect mild temperatures ( fingers crossed!) and the weather should be comfortable.

What is the plan if it rains?

Answer

The show goes on! We will make the best of all weather ( pending any serious weather concerns) as we have a fully covered tent.

Is there a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms for guests of our wedding at the Holiday Inn Express Waterfront in Downtown Windsor. When calling to make your reservation, please mention the Donovan- Fontaine wedding in order to receive a discounted rate. We ask that our guests call the hotel directly at 519-258-7774. Please note that the reserved rooms can only be held for guests of our wedding until May 23rd 2023.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! After the ceremony guests will be able to enjoy a full cocktail hour at the Vin Winery ( all on the same property) with hors d'oeuvres, followed by a full 3-course plated meal during the reception. There will be a late-night snack as well!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Absolutely - any dietary needs will be accommodated. Please let us know in your RSVP email

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course! We would love for our guests to capture the day in anyway that they would like. Please tag us in any social media posts so we can see them too. Please note: We do ask that our guests refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony to help our professional photographer capture the moment perfectly! There will be time set aside for guests to take a couple pictures before the ceremony begins.

When should I RSVP

Answer

In an effort to save paper and prevent waste, we ask that your RSVP by email to Jessica (jfontainersw@yahoo.com) If you are able to RSVP when you receive your invitation that would be amazing! Our last day to RSVP is May 24th 2023 for vendor headcount purposes. Any unanswered RSVPs will be counted as a "no"

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've intentionally planned our wedding to include those closest to us as we celebrate this next chapter. Unless a plus one is indicated on your invitation there are no dates/guests.
