Jessica and Alex both grew up in San Antonio and went to rival high schools but did not meet each other until 2021. They even had mutual friends, and were probably at the same events at some point, but fate led them to meet during graduate school. Alex and Jessica both had aspirations to become physicians, so they went to graduate school at University of the Incarnate Word to boost their resume after each spending a year as EMTs. During the second month of grad school, through mutual friends, they ended up in the same study group. Through small talk, Jessica and Alex discovered that they were from similar backgrounds in San Antonio and bonded over their experiences. After a few months of hinting, flirting and going on "dates as friends," Alex eventually found the courage to ask Jessica to be his girlfriend on January 28th, 2022. Fortunately, Jessica and Alex matriculated into the same medical school at University of the Incarnate Word and were able to stay together. Jessica and Alex both commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Air Force to later serve as physicians in the greatest Air Force this world has ever seen. On April 27th, 2024, with the help of their mothers and a few close friends, Alex proposed at Brackenridge Park and surprised Jessica with an intimate engagement party. Jessica and Alex had a small courthouse marriage ceremony on December 19th, 2024 to have greater odds of being stationed together for residency training. Now, Jessica and Alex find themselves near the end of their medical school career. Alex will be applying to become an Emergency Medicine physician and Jessica will be applying to become a General Surgeon.
