We’re getting married!

In traditional fashion, the couple met on Hinge. After a three sentence interaction followed by 3 days of silence, Al asked Jess if she wanted to meet for a drink. He wanted to impress her with his favorite cocktail bar “Dutch Kills” in LIC. Al claims he knew that night that he would marry Jess after she impressed him by ordering a Narragansett. Jess and Al continued to see each other after Dutch Kills. At the time, Al was completing his surgery internship, working up to 80 hours per week in the hospital which made it tough to find time to see each other. Jess knew Al was serious about her because he asked her to hang out every week on his only day off and did nice things like cook duck for her and make her fancy cocktails. A year later, the two travelled to Maui together to celebrate the completion of Al's intern year. It was Jess’ first time to Hawaii and Al was a self-proclaimed regular. It was a really special time for the couple, and Jess explained to Al while they were there that he should propose some time within the next year. When the two returned to NYC, Al accompanied Jess to her apartment and never left. They adopted two adorable kittens, Molly & Des. Almost one year later, Al purchased two engagement rings: the first after Jess told him what she wanted; the second after Jess told him that she changed her mind about what she wanted. Al proposed to Jess in the Hamptons while they were staying at Tim & Ann’s house.
