Adam and Jessica first crossed paths while working for the same company, albeit in different states. Throughout the years, they’d run into each other randomly at company events. They were co-workers at first and then friends. Eventually phone numbers were exchanged, and a closer friendship was formed. That friendship blossomed over time into something more. It took several years for the two to see that they belonged together. Their story didn’t begin with an initial spark, but rather a slow burn which led them to where they are today. The couple’s mutual love of travel, culture, laughter, music, food, family, and friends brought them closer together. It seemed that they balanced each other in all the right ways. However, the long distance between Abilene, Texas and York, Pennsylvania proved to be a challenge for the two. It was August 2018 when Jessica bravely packed up her belongings (and her faithful dog Blair) and drove 23 hours to Pennsylvania to give this romance a real try. What better way to test the waters then move across the country only to quarantine during a global virus outbreak? After being confined together for nearly a year during the pandemic (without manslaughter charges being filed), Adam proposed to Jessica on December 25, 2020 while her family was in town for the holidays. Given the limitations on gatherings (thanks a lot COVID), the couple agreed that a somewhat lengthy engagement would be best. Now, after nearly five years together, numerous adventures, and the purchase of a new home in Pennsylvania… we can’t wait to tie the knot and celebrate with some of our favorite people! Thank you for your ongoing love and support.
