We are getting married!!

(As told by Jessica 😊) We met as all people meet in the 21st century who are over 30 - online, just kidding, but for real… in this case it worked! We chatted back and forth for about a week while we were both traveling and then Greg said "Let's meet!" Greg proposed we meet at Max's Wine Dive on Washington because he knew how much I love wine (and that is ... a lot). Little did I know he also loves the bone marrow there, lol! :) I arrived first and the hostess asked if we wanted to sit at a high-top or standard seating. She said, “we have both available now but for standard seating, we have a reservation there at 7 pm, so you will have to be done before then." I was a bit unsure, not knowing how this date would go and if it would fall in sequence with all the other “interesting experiences” I’d had since moving back to Texas. Then Greg came in sporting a pressed shirt and brown dress shoes, and I was impressed. “Nice!” I thought, “I’ve got to see where this goes!” I told the hostess, “We’ll take the high-top table thanks.” After two bottles of Goldeneye pinot noir… the rest they say is history.

(Also told by Jessica 😊) We all went to Greg's parents’ house for a Christmas celebration. He told my dad that someone hit his car and to come out front (which to those who know George, got him out front quickly). Without my knowledge, Greg asked my dad for his blessing to propose. He then lured me out by the lake at his parents’ house saying, "Come quick, you have to see these ducks!" Surprisingly I didn't see any ducks, but Greg proposed by the lake on Christmas Day and I could not have received a better Christmas gift than the opportunity to start a new chapter with the man I love.
