Our Greatest Adventure Yet!

During 2014 we were both attending classes at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and although we had already had one class together, it wasn't until the fall that we officially met. We had the same group of friends, all of whom were taking Mammalogy that semester, and ended up sitting right next to each other on the first day of class. Throughout that semester-long course and through extracurricular activities at school such as Biology club and conferences we grew closer as friends. On May 5th, 2015 we met at a bar after a hard day of classes, sat down, ordered a few drinks and Alex said "You know we are dating now, right?" and the rest is history!

For Alex's 26th birthday I wanted to plan a surprise party for him on the river and with the help of a few close friends we pulled it off! A cold front had come in so the temperature was in the mid 50's but we decided to stick it out and party. After a few hours into the celebration, our mutual friend Casey asked which station we should play next and after settling on one I was suddenly whirled around to find Alex behind me. Down on one knee. Holding a tiny, open box in his hand. I was so excited and shocked that I couldn't speak but I was able to nod yes in agreement as he slipped the ring onto my finger and sealed the deal with a kiss! We are looking forward to sharing our next adventure with you!
