In early September, Jessi was vacationing in Pentwater, Michigan with her family. Zach couldn't go on the vacation because he couldn't take off of work. On Saturday September 7th, Zach drove the 8 hours up to Pentwater. When he arrived, Jessi's mom, aunt, and brother helped get Jessi to walk down to "the Perch" from the cottage at the exact moment Zach was walking up to "the Perch" from the beach. With Jessi's brother hidden in the bushes ready to snap the perfect shot, Zach got down on one knee and presented the most beautiful ring. Needless to say, Jessi said "yes!". Just 21 hours later, Zach drove back to St. Louis so that he could make it to work on Monday. Zach planned out the perfect proposal that was tailored exactly to the things Jessi loves: family, Pentwater, and rose-gold! :)
