Why La Push?

#LaPushMeDownTheAisle

In October of 2018, we (along with the best soon-to-be mother-in-law) traveled to Seattle, WA to visit Sarah's wonderful Aunt and Uncle (Mary Ann and Jan) for her birthday. When Jessi heard we would be visiting Forks and La Push beach (where Twilight was filmed), she knew she couldn't pass up the opportunity because she was a huge Twilight fan in her teens! Sarah had no idea what La Push or Forks was, but we both fell in love with the area once we arrived. After walking along the beach and taking a million photos, we talked about how homey it felt to be there, and how perfect it would be to have a wedding on the beach, but we pushed the thought aside for a few years. Three years later, when we finally got engaged, we started thinking of where we wanted to have the ceremony. We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding. We aren't much for large, extravagant weddings. We knew we wanted something minimal and intimate. Jessi wanted something woodsy, and Sarah wanted something beachy. Although there were a few places close by that would do fine, La Push was always there in the back of our minds as the perfect balance between the two. After looking at some wedding photos online and reminiscing, we just couldn't say 'no' to our dream of a magical La Push wedding! Although it is far from Alabama, it feels most like home. So, we decided to say 'yes' to what we both truly wanted-- a small, intimate, destination wedding (elopement-style) on the gorgeous La Push Beach!

How We Met

We met on Tinder. Swiped right for each other. Deleted the app. The rest is history!

Is There a Registry?

Registries and Amazon List

Thank you for your interest in giving! We have decided for our destination wedding that we would much rather our "registry" be a donation fund for the wedding ceremony or honeymoon costs. We value quality time, adventure, and the little things over physical gifts. It would mean more to us that you share our wedding day with us or show your support through donating to one of our Zola cash/experience funds under the registry tab. Jessi's Amazon List for Bridal/Bachelorette Shower can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/17DYCMVGOE2P0?ref_=wl_share

Covid Restrictions

Guest limits, reception, etc.

We will be taking Covid restrictions into consideration for the safety and comfort of our families, guests, photographers, and venue staff. We are keeping the guest list minimal for an intimate ceremony. As much as we would love to have everyone with us on our special day, we have to be cautious during this time. As we are having our ceremony in WA in the La Push area, the land belongs to and is protected by The Quileute Tribe. As a guest on their reservation, we must obey their rules and restrictions. We will be adding updates as we arrive closer to the day!
