We met while studying Theatre at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. She had me cross-dress in the first show she ever directed. We graduated two years apart and went our separate ways. I joined the Coast Guard. She moved to Seattle. A chance message later, and we met for a hike. And then another. And then a date on the beach. I baked her bread. She baked me a pie. We fell in love. Fast forward nearly 5 years, many road trips, two ferry rides, and 7 summits later, and we now live in beautiful Kodiak, AK with our sweet baby Juno (relax, she's a dog) and her favorite uncle Marti (relax, he's our roommate). Oh, and we're getting married, too! We really hope you can help us celebrate. -Kraig

Kraig and I celebrated completing the 7 Summit Hiking Challenge by getting engaged! Throughout the month of June he and I hiked through the rain, wind, and bear tracks to finally summit our personal favorite peak – Heitman Mountain. While we were celebrating our accomplishment, Kraig got down on one knee and proposed. Initially I was oblivious to what he was actually doing and once I realized that he was proposing I immediately started ugly crying ( I honestly could not tell you what he said). When we were ready to head down the mountain, we joyously slid down a snowpatch on our butts. This resulted in me ripping my pants open and finishing out our hike with a very bloody and bruised tush. I might have been in a lot of pain but nothing could’ve spoiled that moment. -Jessi
