They met on a blind date, arranged by Bridesmaid Polly and Best Man Blake. Despite Jodi's best efforts to be elusive, Jesse was insistent that he pick her up at her house. They had a drink at the house before walking to Aroma for dinner, where they laughed over a bottle of wine and delicious pasta. That night, Jesse proclaimed he didn’t like to share his food. Naturally, Jodi reached across the table for a bite of Bolognese and has been eating off his plate ever since.

Exactly two years later, even though Jodi had moved into a new home, Jesse convinced her to go for a walk on St Andrew’s Walk. In front of her old house, Jesse got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Jodi was so excited, the neighbor’s dogs started barking and people came out to see what was going on.
