Question

How Do I get to Camp Comfort?

Answer

From Sheridan, WY take I-90 E, approximately 35 miles, exit Buffalo, WY (Exit 56A for I-25 BUS/I-90 BUS toward Buffalo). Head South, then turn right at Highway 16. Take Highway 16 for appx 10 miles. At the top of the hill, you will turn left on a private road -forest road 403 (but no real sign). As a landmark, on the right you will see a turn off for Grouse Mountain Tail Access 1M- BUT YOU WILL TURN LEFT. If you start going down hill you’ve gone too far. Follow the road you will see a sign "Private Property, Camp Comfort", take the road into Camp, across the bridge. Park where other cars are parked. If you're driving in on Friday and coming straight to the rehearsal dinner, you will come up I-25N and get off at the first Buffalo exit. Turn left at Hwy 16 and follow the remainder of the directions. **If you can, please follow someone who has a pin, or has been to Camp Comfort before. Our cell phones will not work once we get there. #thisiswyoming #psitsawesomeyoullgetusedtoit

Question

How do I get to the Wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the Sheridan Trolley has cancelled operations for this year. Guests will need to drive themselves to the Powder Horn Golf Club, and there is plenty of parking near the clubhouse.

Question

Where can we go horsebackriding?

Answer

Three recommended outfitters: 1. Buffalo Mountain Outfitters- 307-217-2539 2. Rangeland Enterprises- 307-672-6717 3. South Fork Mountain Lodge & Outfitters- 307-267-2609 Warning- trail rides might have mules instead of horses, so just make sure you ask beforehand if you care. Also, please wear jeans and either boots or sturdy shoes to ride horses... you will thank us later. If you are in need of western wear- check out King Ropes in town!

Question

Where can we go hiking?

Answer

There are many lovely hikes in the area. Our favorite is Sherd Lake Trail outside of Buffalo (1 hr drive from Sheridan) and a 3.5 mi out and back hike to a lake, rated as moderate (but there is some steep rocky terrain). https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/wyoming/sherd-lake-trail Pro Tip- Don't stop at the run-off lake that is filled with algae, the crystal clear Sherd lake is a little bit further and is fun to swim in.

Question

Where can I go fly fishing?

Answer

Rock Creek Anglers offer guided day trips in both Buffalo and Sheridan Wyoming. https://www.anglingdestinations.com/rock-creek-anglers

Question

Where do I get a cowboy hat?

Answer

There are two shops we recommend in town. Custom kids cowboy hats may be found at the High Mountain Mercantile shop at 130 N. Main Street. Fitted adult cowboy hats may be found at King’s Saddlery at 183 N. Main Street. Also, if you strike out at these places, there will be more western-wear and goods for sale at Don King Days.

Question

What precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID?

Answer

We want everyone to be as comfortable and safe as possible. All of the wedding events are outside, and if you want to wear a mask, please feel free to do so. There will be no communal drink dispensers. At the wedding reception, we will be seating less than capacity per table to give people extra room. During the weekend, if at any time you're feeling unwell or have a temperature, please do stay home, and we will understand your absence completely. We love you all and want you to be safe, but we also want to get married this year and plan to go forward.
