Throughout school Haydon and Jess were always close and connected to each other in some way. During year 12 their connection grew. In the pouring tropical rain of Vanuatu in 2013, Haydon finally asked Jesseca to become his girlfriend, to which Jesseca responded "are you being legit...?" and legit he was! Throughout the past 7 years Jesseca & Haydon's connection has grown through their love of travel, adventures, laughter and strong family values. Over the past 7 years they have travelled together all over the world and plan to travel more throughout their future!

On a surprise weekend away to Dubbo, Haydon surprised Jesseca with an overnight Zoofari stay at Dubbo Zoo. Jesseca believed this weekend away was an early present for her birthday the following week. While Jesseca was sitting on the outside balcony admiring the animals surrounding her, Haydon told Jess he was going inside to get his jacket. Jesseca took no notice as they were shortly heading off on their night tour on a cold winter's night. A few minutes later Haydon reappeared on the balcony and handed Jesseca a folded piece of paper explaining that this was an additional gift for her birthday. Jesseca initially thought this may have been an extra zoo experience such as feeding the animals. After opening the note it read "LIFETIME CONTRACT" a running theme in their relationship with Haydon being a lawyer. Jesseca quickly clicked on to what was happening and began to cry. Haydon then presented the most beautiful and sentimental ring and asked her to marry him. To which SHE SAID YES!
