Hotel
This is the location of the reception, so it is the most convenient. We also highly recommend this option for those with small children in order to keep them near while you continue to celebrate. It is also the more affordable option of the two hotels that we recommend. Make sure to mention you are with the Palmer Wedding and a wedding rate will be applied. ***THIS HOTEL IS NOW FULL.***
Hotel
This is the second hotel option we are recommending. It is where we will be staying for the full week in Zermatt. The hotel is offering a discounted rate for being part of our wedding party. When you make your reservation say you are with the Palmer Wedding and you will get 10% off. This will be the venue for the raclette dinner as well.
Flight
We recommend flying into Geneva Airport. It is the closest to Zermatt compared to Zurich and Milan.
Rental Car
Zermatt is a car free town - they have shuttles, horse carriages, bikes and electric taxis available. If you do decide to rent a car outside of the town, please be aware that you will have to leave it in the town of Tasch (5km away) and take the shuttle train into Zermatt. It runs every 20 minutes and is a 12 minute long ride. https://www.zermatt.ch/en/arrival/mtt/Matterhorn-Terminal-Schedule-Prices
Train
To get from Geneva Airport to Zermatt, you can go by train. I found extremely affordable train tickets on this website. If you are going by train, just remember that you will have to change trains in Visp in order to get to Zermatt. There will only be one train change. The time it takes to arrive in Zermatt should be around 3hr40min.
Travel Note
There are many options you can use to get around the town: -by foot -by horse-drawn carriage -by eTaxi -by bike - by ebus (2 routes: skibus and Winkelmatten bus)
