They both grew up in the theater. Endless music, laughs, passion and joy. Their homes are filled with it, too. Both of them, big Italian families who love to sing, dance, and eat... so pretty much the same thing. They met at a theater in Oakdale on Long Island, called CM, while doing the main stage production of Peter Pan. They were in sixth grade, such babies! Jesse had a crush on Veronica, but she would spend most rehearsals and shows hanging in the corner of her Aunt and Uncle's dressing area, reading. She paid little attention to Jesse's boyish ways. One day, they walked to the supermarket together, and boy oh boy, Jesse never forgot that conversation. Flash forward 1 year later, they’re both back at CM in the teen production of Les Miserables, both in seventh grade, haven't seen each other in a year, and things have definitely changed. Have you ever watched Big Mouth? The Hormone Monster is real! Anyway, Veronica’s older cousin, Emily, told her that Jesse had a crush on her and Veronica got butterflies. They would then make silly faces to each other on stage and goof around during rehearsals. Jesse even brought in a pillow to lean their heads against together while they would sit backstage...smooth moves. Then, because they thought they were cool, they went to the “magical greenhouse” in the woods behind the theater with a group of older kids. They both climbed to the top, and before Jesse jumped down he turned to Veronica and asked, “Kiss for good luck?” BAM! Veronica was hooked. Flash forward 14 years later...middle school, high school, college, a move to LA then back to college, the academy, the Bronx, a national theater tour, endless vacations, the 6:30AM JFK proposal, another national tour, moving/living in NYC, getting the cutest little baby man (their adorable cat, Phineas), planning/re-planning a wedding through a worldwide pandemic, just life in general, and here they finally are...the day they dreamed about since the beginning. Their wedding day!
