We Got Married!

April 23, 2021

On Friday April 23, 2021 we eloped to Yosemite National Park for a beautiful, intimate wedding.

A Little History

How we met

Our love story (as told by Trisha) begins back in 2014, right after the both of us had graduated from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. We were both working restaurant jobs while trying to transition into the real world after college. One night, Jesse came to Uccello's where I worked and was having a beer at the bar. Tricia, my coworker (confusing we know), had grown up with Jesse and they had been friends through High School. Tricia enjoyed playing match-maker and tried her best with Jesse and I. Tricia had walked over to Jesse and convinced him to wave (yes, wave) at me from across the restaurant where I awkwardly waved back, embarrassed. Shortly after, he headed out and stopped by to say hi. We both talked about how we had a class together and thought each other looked kind of familiar. After making some small talk Jesse left to go hang out with some friends. He didn't ask me to join or even get my number. So that was the end of that. But... now we know that's not where it ended! I took it upon myself to get his number from match-maker Tricia and texted him that night. A few nights later we went out on our first date and the rest is history! Shout out to Tricia!!! We love you!

Mexico to California

Changes

All the changes... we are now doing a domestic wedding in Temecula, CA. We hope that you understand all the necessary changes that we have decided on due to the uncertain future of the coronavirus pandemic. We just had no clue on how traveling to an all-inclusive resort during this uncertain future would go. So.... we are so happy that our family and friends will be coming to California!

Four Years Later

He got down on one knee...

....and lost his words! I'm serious, he got down on a knee, I screamed, turned around, kind of ran away, and then asked him "what do you say?" Let me start off by saying that I am THE HARDEST person to surprise and let me tell ya - he got me good. Jesse and I were on a weekend away up in Santa Barbara County going wine tasting in the valley. On one of our days there we had a tour guide take us around to some wineries for wine tasting. We had three stops arranged and the third stop we landed at Spear Winery in Buellton. With the help of our tour guide, Vince, and the wine maker, Kat, Jesse managed to pull of the ultimate surprise. We went on a tour of the vineyard and at the top we stopped for a photo op. It was literally picture-perfect, and absolutely unforgettable.
