We met in 2016 when Shayna moved to Lexington, Kentucky, to start graduate school. Jesse is from Tennessee but was already in Lexington working on his own graduate degrees. We matched on Tinder within 24 hours of Shayna arriving to town and made plans to meet up for brunch. Post-brunch, we decide to take a walk all around downtown; excitedly yapping together the whole time about everything under the sun, already brainstorming ideas for our second date. Completely unaware that we would go on to spend the next eight years right by each other’s side. ❥

We plan to have a private elopement ceremony next year in Santa Barbara, California. We are so appreciative of everyone in our lives that had hoped to celebrate with us at a wedding. However, if you know either of us, eloping is very on brand. We will also have a photographer with us at the courthouse capturing moments that we can later share with everyone on this website.
