No. We decided to get married in the mountains, but since we know it isn’t accessible for everyone we want to celebrate with we are having our reception party in Boise!
The ceremony will be at the Redfish Inlet Campground. This is a small spot, so unfortunately we have had to keep it small! If you are invited and decide to come, there are a few things to keep in mind. Lodging: we are at a campground, so we will be camping. If you want to camp with us, please let us know ASAP! It's a small campground, but there are others nearby where we might be able to help you find a spot! If camping is not your jam or jelly, there are hotels in the surrounding area, but they do fill out fast. You can look at Stanley, which is about a 15 minute drive from the lake. If you prefer more available lodging, Sun Valley is approximately an hour away from the lake. The campground: The campground is on the far side of the lake, and is accessible by shuttle OR hike! The shuttle is $22 round trip, and leaves on demand from the lodge side. The ceremony will be at noon, or shortly after, and return shuttles are scheduled at 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm. We will have lunch and some drinks available, plus s'mores, and if you plan on camping overnight with us let us know so we can coordinate dinner! If you have any other questions, please ask!
5pm! We will have a dinner available, but it might not be ready right at 5, so come prepared!
You can wear what you’re comfortable wearing! We’ll be wearing our best outfits because pictures are forever! Keep in mind that summer in Boise can get quite warm with temperatures in the high 90’s in August.
They provide parking in the lot! And the good news is if you decide to leave your car behind, you can pick it up by noon the next day without any problems.
Only if you want to! Downtown Boise is a walkable city, so you could potentially be fine with an Uber or airport shuttle! Plus there are plenty of rentable bikes and scooters all over.
Wow that’s kind of personal. Just kidding! We are taking our honeymoon when Molly finishes school, so it won’t be for a few years.
If you’re asking about that night- nothing planned. If you’re looking for some nightlife then head over to our recommendations on places to go! If you’re asking about the few days after, we will be able to spend more time with one another at brunch and even an organized hike if you’re interested! If you’re not down with a hike then let us know- we would love to do something together!
