Madison has an airport less than 15 minutes from downtown, but Milwaukee (or even Chicago) may have better flight options. Both Milwaukee and Chicago have bus services from the airport to downtown Madison (Badger Bus and Van Galder, respectively), however the schedules are limited, and renting a car is often faster. Once in Madison, all events are within walking distance of the hotels, so cars shouldn't be necessary.
