YES! Everything is inside. No one will risk frostbite by attending our wedding. Bring a parka to the wedding, but no need to keep the parka on when you are at the event.
We want to acknowledge the difficult times in which we are living. Given the time of year and location of our wedding, everything will be indoors. We completely understand if people do not feel comfortable attending – and we are happy to celebrate with you in other ways. To best ensure the safety of everyone, all guests who attend our wedding in person must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC and WHO). We are going to enforce this requirement for vendors as well. We are going to continue to monitor the advice of scientists across the globe. We are currently formulating a plan, based on the guidance provided, to ensure that everyone can stay safe. Please follow this website and your emails for any updates that we may have. If you are feeling sick or showing any other symptoms, we ask that you stay home. We would love to celebrate with you in a different way.
There are two main parking areas located very close to the event space. There is a ramp kiddy corner and a lot directly across the street. The parking lot directly across the street is currently free. Please see us if you choose to use the ramp so we can provide you with a complimentary parking ticket to get out without having to pay. Both parking spaces are on 2nd Street - across from the Machine Shop. There is also street parking around Machine Shop that is free on weekends.
We will providing two shuttles back to the hotel from the wedding venue -- one around 9:30 and one at 11:30. We are currently finalizing details on this. The Machine Shop is about one and a half miles from the hotel -- just on the opposite side of the Mississippi River. Lyfts and Ubers should be widely available. You can also walk - but we would highly advise against this.
Our household has a cumulative total of four left feet. Get ready for some terrible, yet entertaining, dancing!
While we originally were both on the 5-8 Club team, we recently realized how wrong we were! Thankfully, we are now on Team Matt's and we will never look back. There is no "I" in Jucy Lucy.
We definitely do not agree on everything. But, without a doubt, our biggest disagreement is over chips. We will NEVER agree on the best type of Dorito. Lauren is on Team Cool Ranch and Jesse is on Team Nacho Cheese. We can never buy Doritos in our house because of this.
