AIRPORTS: There are 2 airports you can take to San Miguel de Allende, Leon or Queretaro. (1) The Aeropuerto del Bajio (BJX) also known as the Leon-Guanajuato Airport located 68 miles (about an hour and 20-minute drive) from San Miguel de Allende. (2) Queretaro International Airport, MX (QRO), located 46 miles (about an hour and 10-minute drive) from San Miguel de Allende.

GETTING TO SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE: It is easy and inexpensive to reserve car services for travel from the airport to your hotel in San Miguel de Allende. If you are on a flight with other guests, reserving an SUV or van is also possible, which will reduce per person costs. Your hotels might also have connections with providing services. TURISMA: Recommended for private car transportation services for individuals or for group options. The prices we have been quoted for is for a one way trip to or from the BJX or QRO airport. -Car services for 1-2 passengers is $2,475 MXN (approx. $124 USD) -Larger suburban vehicle up to 6 passengers is $3,635 MXN (approx. $182 USD) -Larger vehicle for up to 10 passengers is $4,254 MXN (approx. $213 USD) Tip not included in the cost and 10% is recommended. UBERS: Ubers can be taken from BJX or QRO to the center but tend to be less reliable due to longer wait times with limited Ubers in the airport area. If your arrival or departure falls in the early morning or late in the evening, we recommend you book other transportation services due to limited uber availability. Uber tends to run from $90 - 150 USD for airport transportation to the city center.

Transportation in the City

GETTING AROUND SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE: We would advise against having a rental car during your time in San Miguel de Allende, as it is very difficult to find parking. Also, San Miguel is a very small town and everything is in walking distance from one another. If you do need car transportation, taxis and Ubers are very affordable and easily accessible. GETTING TO AND FROM THE WEDDING VENUE: We will provide transportation services to the wedding venue the day of the wedding. The meeting point for the transportation pick up will be at Casa Hoyos at 2:25 PM. The vehicle will depart at 2:45 PM to Casa Adela. After the wedding, the vehicle will arrive for pick up at 11:40 PM outside of Casa Adela. The vehicle will depart at midnight to Casa Hoyos. If you would like to leave the wedding earlier than midnight, we would recommend booking other means of transportation for the end of the night.
