Our Story

Our story started long distance. Jesse working on the road in Texas and me back home as a travel agent. We talked everyday, texting, calling, and video chats. We talked about life, our dreams and goals. We learned about each other's pasts and what made us into who we are today. We planned and waited for the times we spent together. We cherished the time we had together and wished the time apart would go faster. Finally a decision that would be the beginning of our future together was made. I took a leap of faith for love and went to Texas. The road life is rough. The coronavirus outbreak starting and soon jobs on the road would be slim. After a few months of Texas desert life, we learned we had a blessing on the way. We made the ultimate decision to come and stay home. This pregnancy was scary and hard. Jesse stood by me through every step, reassuring me, giving me faith and strength. We weren't sure if we would be going back on the road after jobs began opening up again but soon we decided together we wanted to be home. We wanted our daughter to see family, to not move frequently and to be together. Jesse started working in Columbia. Annistyn Claire was born October 20,2020. 2 months post partum, I started working from home. On February 11, 2021, Jesse asked me to marry him. He came home acting strange, I was holding our sleeping baby. He told me to close my eyes and covered them with his hat. He asked me to hold out my hands and placed a box in my hands. He asked me what I was holding, he opened the box and told me to open my eyes. He didn't need to ask, I knew right away. It may not be the most romantic, planned, or surprising proposal. But none of that means anything. Him wanting to spend the rest of our life together is what means everything. We are thankful for each other, our family and friends. We can't wait to celebrate our love and future with the rest of you.
