Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early to navigate the RenCen and find your way to the Highlands host stand. From the host stand, you’ll be guided up the elevator to the 72nd floor. If it's your first time visiting the RenCen, it can be difficult to navigate until you familiarize yourself so we suggest arriving early. Please note: Once the ceremony begins, the elevator will temporarily pause service. Per venue policy, late arrivals will need to wait until the ceremony concludes before being escorted up. We appreciate your understanding!
UBER OR DROP OFF: Use the Detroit Marriott entrance at 400 Renaissance Drive, Detroit, MI 48243. Once inside, take the elevator to the third floor to reach the hotel lobby — this is also the same level as the Highlands host stand. VALET: For ease of mind, we highly suggest valet parking at Marriott Entrance- 400 Renaissance Dr, Detroit. Available at the hotel for $30 daily or $40 overnight. PARKING – Beaubien Garage 238 Beaubien St. Detroit, MI 48226 (look for BLUE AWNINGS – may appear as “Blvd” on maps) Use the 2nd floor skywalk to enter the RenCen. Hotel Guests: We suggest valet parking at Marriott Entrance. But for self-parking, Beaubien offers in-and-out access for hotel guests for $25/day, charged to your room with your Marriott key. Day Only Wedding Guests: We’ll cover day parking at Beaubien from 12:00 PM–2:00 AM with validation. Use the 2nd floor skywalk to enter the RenCen. See full directions in next FAQ.
FROM MARRIOTT ENTRANCE: (Valet or drop off) Once inside, take the elevator to the third floor to reach the hotel lobby — this is also the same level as the Highlands host stand. FROM BEAUBIAN GARAGE: Take the skywalk located on 2nd level into the Renaissance Center. Once inside the RenCen: Walk past the security desk and veer right, following the RenCen timeline displayed on the wall. Near the end of the timeline, you’ll see a ramp and glass doors on your left—these lead into the central area of the building. Walk up the ramp, go through the doors, and head toward the giant gumball machine—this will bring you to the main elevator bay. Take the elevators to the third floor. On the third floor: Exit the elevator bay and follow the outer circle until you reach the glass doors leading to the Highlands host stand.
Formal attire. Highlands is known for its unique and classy dining. We kindly encourage our guests to dress in elevated cocktail to formal attire. We’re excited to celebrate in style with you!
