We initially met in Ms. Fisher's English class Freshman year in high school. Three years later, during junior year we went on our first date on Valentine's Day at a local taco restaurant and the rest was history.

We were in Maui celebrating our recent college graduation with family, we decided to extend our trip a few extra days to spend time exploring the island by ourselves. On June 23rd, Jesse had the entire day planned out starting off with lunch reservations at made reservations for lunch at Mama's Fish House. After lunch, we drove to a beach down the road and watched as turtles washed up on shore then chased the sunset across the island. We pulled off the road and stopped at Po'olenalena Beach to watch the sun go down. As we walked out onto the sand and watched the sun disappeared between the clouds, I turned for a second to take in my surroundings and Jesse dropped to one knee. All of our words of sentiment were exchanged, I said "YES," we cried as we were cheered on by locals surrounding us and we left engaged!
