On January 3, 2020, Jesse proposed to Danna and the excited two began to plan their wedding. Little did they know that in two months time, the whole world would come to a standstill because of the coronavirus. All their wedding plans had to be altered through many tears, hard conversations, and seeking after God. In a time of uncertainty, both Jesse and Danna felt God tell them to move forward. What "forward" meant developed every single day. The wedding planning resumed even while Washington State was under a "Stay-at-Home" ordinance. Despite the circumstances, Jesse and Danna recognized the "COVID blessings" that God had placed in their lives. Every day had it's ups and downs. Jesse and Danna held onto the hope that by September 2020, maybe COVID-19 would settle and they could resume their wedding as planned. By the end of July 2020, however, that hope diminished when Governor Inslee of Washington State announced that all weddings would have specific restrictions, like a guest limit of 30 people. Still, Jesse and Danna felt that God's timing for them was now. They made the decision to still move forward and get married - even if it was to be them two and their officiant. It was a difficult season, but Jesse and Danna knew that God had a purpose for it all. God was leading them to a wedding day that they both didn't expect, but that also was beyond their expectations.

On September 5, 2020, Jesse and Danna prepared for their marriage with their immediate family, bridal party, and spiritual mentors in the Palouse countryside. It was a bittersweet morning - waking up to an exciting day, but knowing that only a few could experience it with them. "It's all for the glory and praise of God" was a constant reminder running through Jesse and Danna's minds. The wedding day was beautiful - intimate and simple. Intentional details that praised God and all that He had done. Jesse and Danna were able to enjoy an extended time of praise and worship during their ceremony. God moved powerfully in the room as everyone came together to worship God. Many tears were shed during the wedding - not in grief, but in awe. God set aside this specific day to reveal Himself through this humble union. After the ceremony, Jesse and Danna were able to celebrate with everyone at one of their favorite places. They enjoyed an evening of delicious food, laughter, and pure bliss. Despite everything that had happened due to COVID, God worked all things out for good. Our lives are unashamedly for God. May everything we do, in our marriage and in our lives, be all for the glory and praise of God.

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
