December 2023 It all started with a swipe. Jesse asked Cait out for their first date at Ale House because he was craving a Zinger Mountain Melt. Cait almost didn’t go… because who chooses Ale House for a first date? But she decided to give it a shot anyway. Despite Cait showing up slightly hungover from her company Christmas party the night before, the two hit it off immediately. Jesse must not have minded too much, because he asked Cait out again - and she made sure to redeem the first date by taking him to her favorite sushi spot. He probably should have known he would have his hands full with her (in the best way). From that point on, they were pretty much inseparable. Cait, a Florida native, and Jesse, who moved down from Pittsburgh for grad school, quickly realized they loved doing just about everything together. Whether it’s traveling somewhere new, relaxing at home, or Cait convincing Jesse to try foods outside of his usual rotation of chicken and rice, they’re always up for whatever the other enjoys. Their first big trip together was to Puerto Rico, where Jesse asked Cait to be his girlfriend while hiking through El Yunque National Forest - setting the tone for a relationship full of adventure. Not long after, Jesse planned another unforgettable moment and proposed at Niagara Falls. Cait was completely surprised, but in that moment she knew what she had felt all along, that Jesse was her person and the man God had placed in her life. Cait admires Jesse for his incredible heart and the way he always puts others before himself. Jesse admires Cait’s passion, determination, and the way she cares deeply for everyone around her. Together, they have built a relationship rooted in faith, friendship and a love for adventure, and they cannot wait to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
