We first met in Driver's Ed class our freshman year of high school at Howell and were instant friends. There was a short time when we tried dating, but being young and dumb, we decided to stay friends. Now most people "stay friends" and never talk again or barely say hello, but we truly were friends and stayed close over the years, always being a safe place for one another and a friend to lean on. After 10 years of being just friends, Jesse and I became closer and he started doing sweet things that threw me for a loop, like getting off shift at the firehouse and dropping off coffee and breakfast at my door on his way home because I had had a long night the evening before. Finally, it all came to a beautiful conclusion when we went on our first trip together, a float trip in Van Buren, that we had a hard time returning from and kept extending our stay. The rest is history and we've spent that last 5 years falling deeper and deeper in love and blending our beautiful family <3
