We met through mutual friends at their annual 4th of July BBQ. Hallie was talking about her passion for disability rights and I was immediately intrigued. I ended up being super smooth and getting her number by using the fact that my sister in law works for the department of justice as a ruse to get Hallie's number. The rest is history as they say!

Both hallie and I have a mutual love of tea. Originally my plan was to propose on January 1st by asking her if she would resolve to marry me. However the night of the 21st ended up being a nice night outside. I made a little fire in the firepit and asked hallie if she wanted any tea to which she agreed (Thankfully). When I came out I asked her if she would like anything with her tea and hallie said no. At that point I persisted and asked her if she would like anything with her tea such as a ring. After the initial confusion and shock wore off hallie excitedly said yes, officially starting our journey on the way to get married.

Jesse and Hallie got married in Los Angeles, CA on October 22, 2023. It was so nice, we decided to do it twice. We are excited for our next ceremony in Greensboro, VT in August.
