What should I expect at the reception?

Answer

Jesse and Autumn will be welcoming guests individually from 7:00 - 7:30. Other than that, the reception will be a party! We are describing it as an open house. Come and go as you please! We will want to celebrate with as many people as we can! Please bring your dancing shoes! If you did not receive a specific invitation to the reception, you are still welcome to come celebrate with us!

What is going on at the Gilbert Temple?

Answer

First, we believe and know that a family can be together forever when we receive all the ordinances of God and are faithful in keeping those promises. We know that in the temple we can be married for all of eternity. It is a sacred ceremony that will take place under the direction of someone who has the authority of God. Who can go to the Temple ceremony?

Answer

Since the Temple is a sacred place there are specific guidelines to meet for worthiness and a limited number of people who will be able to attend. In order to enter the Temple one must obtain a Temple Recommend to show personal worthiness of entering God's holy house. Learn more about temples here: https://www.mormon.org/beliefs/temples

I cannot enter the Temple, but could I still come?

Answer

Please come! You can walk the Temple grounds and see it's beauty! Just know you will be waiting but not by yourself! It would be a lovely treat to have you welcome us out of the Temple just after we are married. If you are wanting to come to the Temple but cannot enter, please contact Jesse or Autumn for details.

What attire is expected?

Answer

For the Temple, church dress is appropriate. For the ring ceremony, church dress (dresses/skirts, button ups with ties) will still probably be the common theme. However, come in whatever! We want you there with us! For the reception, be comfortable! There will still be a lot of casual dresses, slacks, button ups, and ties. But again, we want you to celebrate with us so come as you are!

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes! The ring ceremony and reception are at a church building with plenty of parking all around.

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

If you were invited to the Ring Ceremony or Sealing, please RSVP!!! If you are coming to the reception, you are welcome to RSVP. The reception will be more of an open house for you to come, visit, dance, and leave when you'd like.
