The Story of 9/24
September 24th has always been a big day in the Bowlby family. It's a day for love, celebration, and family. Over 100 years ago, my Poppy's parents were married on September 24th and they unknowingly started a tradition.
On September 24th, 1952 Granny and Poppy (Carol and Mary) were married. They will be celebrating their 71st wedding anniversary this year. For as long as I can remember, Granny has told me that September 24th is a great day to get married on, and now I couldn't agree more.
On September 24th, 1988 my uncle Jerr and aunt Carla were married as well. They will be celebrating their 35th anniversary this year.
I always dreamed of getting married on the same day as these couples in my family, and now we will get to forever share an anniversary.
On this day, we will be celebrating a new wedding as well as these anniversaries and we are so excited to celebrate with all of you as well!
