We're getting married!

The year was 2018. Summertime. I had just moved to NYC to enroll in grad school that fall and didn't know anyone there. About one month in, I decided it was about time to try out the dating scene. I hopped on Hinge (the dating app GOAT) and matched with Jess after a time. We texted each other for a time before finally going on a handful of dates and became officially official within weeks. Great success!

When we first connected, I was about to leave for a short vacation. I wasn't expecting to connect in-person until after I returned when Tyler asked to grab coffee before work the next morning. I was surprised at the bold request, but anyone who knows Tyler knows once he gets an idea in his head there's no stopping him. I couldn't stop smiling at my phone the entire trip. After our second date he walked me home and we spent an hour outside my apartment just talking. I didn't want the date to end, and I guess it never really did.
