Troy and Jess met through friends in the Engineering Physics Department. They hung out and did homework together, but the timing wasn't right for them both until halfway through Junior year, (Jess took the lead!) After their first date, a brisk winter hike through Bell Smith Springs, their love story began.

Oh, what a day! Troy and Jess went on vacation with their friends Melanie, Will, Alex, Brandon, and Kyle to Myrtle Beach. Will wrote a campaign for a game we love (no, not D&D), and Troy asked Will to add something special. The game directed Jess to read entries to the group. Troy and Will conspired to make the entries encrypted descriptions of the dates Troy and Jess had been on. The last entry said, "Jess, will you marry me?" Jess read it aloud and paused. Once it finally clicked, she turned around to see Troy on one knee!
