Jess' best friend since high-school (yes, in high-school she had a thing for best friends named Krista). Partner in chaos, confidant and companion-extraordinaire. Chances are, if you've known Jess since before residency, then you already know about her. Krista is a free spirit with a background in marketing and listening to new music you haven't heard yet.
Hila Miskin

Jess' residency bestie! Jess and Hila met on the most dreaded rotation of Jess' intern year- Medical Intensive Care Unit! Hila was Jess' senior resident but they became fast brunch buddies and bonded over their mutual dislike for Adam, the terrible waiter at nearby taste. After Hila graduated from her internal medicine residency at UF she moved back home to south Florida to complete her fellowship in hospice and palliative care. Hila is also a mother to a beautiful little girl named Reina.
Yara Hamade Gonzales

More than a masters-bestie, Yara is family. On the second day of her masters program in Boston, Jess met Yara at Peters Dog Park nearby their apartment. Turns out Yara and her future-husband Chris lived in the same apartment building and were enrolled in the same masters program as Jess was. Their four-legged son Teljy grew up with Lilly and the 5 of them were a very happy Boston Family. Yara then went to medical school at Boston University, and did her residency in family medicine at JPS in Fort Worth Texas. Yara came for Jess' medical school graduation and had the honor of hooding her on stage. Yara is a mother to a beautiful little girl, Nour, a new baby soon to be on the way, and of course Teljy.
Lea Reyes

There are 3 things that got Jess through residency, 1) Lilly 2) an unhealthy dose of masochism and, 3) Lea Reyes. Lea is an ER nurse extraordinaire, Flight nurse, and a 1st lieutenant in the Army Reserve Medical Command. Jess was just starting her intern year when she met Lea, but it didn't take long for Lea to figure Jess out. Subsequently, everyone in the department would know when they were on shift together as you could hear them shouting "PUPPIESS!" at each other down the halls. Because you're never too busy for PUPPPPPPIIIIEEESSSSS!!!!
Heather Boyce

Initially cyber friends, but now friends since the dawn-of-time, Heather truly is the creative right-side of Jess' brain. Coming all the way from Portland Oregon, Heather is a cyber-goth rocker queen often seen dancing on stage at concerts her significant-other Clint is headlining- but she's still Jess' smoochiewoochiesnugglywugglybutt-bestie.
Bryan Rickels

How can we describe Bryan? Anyone have that friend who would give you the shirt off his back and then make fun of how you look in it? Bryan has been Shawn's friend for the better part of 20 years. The Maryland tour guide whenever you're in the mood for some crab cakes or a good old fashioned Baltimore stabbing. They met playing a game called Lineage 2 when Shawn asked if there were any English speaking players looking for a group. It's funny how a simple sentence can start a friendship that has lasted for two decades. Unrelated note, Shawn now chooses his words more carefully.
Phillip Halpin

One of the few people who Shawn didn’t meet in a video game Shawn and Phil met freshman year of high school in gym class talking about video games (because of course they did). Phil is like a brother to shawn, but he chose Michael Sara to be the best man at his wedding so that made Shawn's choice for best man much easier. Phil and his parents have been known as Shawn's second family for years, sharing beers and ribs at Flannigans a south Florida staple. He is joined by his much cooler wife, Brianna.

Trevor. What can we say about this bald headed tattooed Sons of Anarchy extra? He’s one of Shawn's best friends and an absolutely fantastic husband to his wife Megan and father to his beautiful new born baby girl Hope. They met on the very same lineage 2 server that Shawn and many of his groomsmen met on. A Colorado native Vegas transplant soon to hopefully become the newest Florida man. Trevor is a whiskey snob so we sure he’ll make fun of our selections.
Michael Sara

Ok first and foremost no it’s not the actor Michael Sara. Shawn isn't that cool and Mike isn’t that awkward. However he won’t hesitate to make you feel that way with his sense of humor. The comedy relief of the group Mike should have a Netflix special at this point. Mike and Shawn met through a mutual friend (Phillip Halpin Left) Florida born Mike ran off to the swamps of Louisiana because he always wanted to catch a catfish with his bare hands. He will be joined by his lovely wife Erin whom we hope forgives Shawn for missing their wedding.
Kevin Clarke

We move from the swamps of Florida and Louisiana to the .… overcast skies of Portland. Kevin was another victim of lineage 2. He's the common sense that holds Shawn's group of friends together. He's Probably a little upset we aren't serving burritos or having a rolling taco bus. Kevin has somehow been the only person in the group to make money at gambling. Does that mean he has a problem? We'll let you decide.

Shawn and Leo met in 2007 playing none other than World of Warcraft. But not because they were friends quite the opposite, on opposing sides and Ignoring all others for the sake of killing the other, the love of competition turned into a friendship that crossed national borders. Leo a native to our neighbors in the north comes to us all the way from Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada.
