Yes! Jess and Shaun found a mutual appreciation of Chinese papercuts, artwork made by cutting designs into whole sheets of thin rice paper, early in their relationship. They now have a collection, including a few you might notice hanging in their apartment. The designs on their invitation are meant to evoke the feel of a papercut, including traditional representations of peonies and cherry blossoms (traditional Chinese wedding flowers). The front is also meant to symbolize a moon gate, a feature common in traditional Chinese homes which is symbolic of unity, the strength of the family and also is a welcome to guests.

No. The hotels where we've reserved room blocks for our guests are within very short walking distance. If you'd like to stay at another hotel in the area, there are many to choose from that are just as close, too!
