FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black cocktail attire requested. We love a timeless, romantic look—midi or ankle-length dresses, sleek jumpsuits, and for men, a dress shirt and suit pants (jackets optional). Your all-black looks will beautifully complement our "red hot love" color palette, as we like to call it.

Question

What’s the schedule for the day?

Answer

Ceremony: The Brim from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Dinner: Jack Stack Barbecue from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm After Party: Parlor from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm Our day is a little untraditional and will require a short travel between each event, so feel free to join us for as much or as little of the day as you can. We’ll love having you wherever you’re able to celebrate!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP through our wedding website by April 8, 2026. You’ll receive a confirmation message once your response is submitted. We kindly ask that you only RSVP for those listed on your invitation. Your response is very important to us and if we do not receive a response, we will assume you are unable to attend.

Question

Do I need to RSVP for each part of the day?

Answer

Yes please! Since we’re hosting at multiple locations, it helps us plan seating and reservations if you let us know which parts you’ll be attending. As much as we would love for you to attend each part of our day, please don't feel obligated.

Question

I can't attend all the events. Can I attend one or the other?

Answer

Absolutely! We’d love for you to join us for any part of the day that works best for you. Just let us know which events you’ll be attending when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love all of our friends and family dearly, but due to the intimate size of our wedding and limited space at each location, we’re only able to accommodate those guests listed on the invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, it will say so by name when you RSVP. We appreciate your understanding as we keep this celebration small and meaningful.

Question

Why can’t everyone have a plus one?

Answer

Our event spaces can only hold a certain number of guests, and we’ve chosen to keep things intimate to allow us to truly spend time with each of you. We wish we could invite everyone’s partners and friends, but we’re focusing on keeping the day personal and relaxed within our budget and space.

Question

What time does the ceremony start and when should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m at The Brim. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure you're settled in before we start.

Question

Is there a reception?

Answer

While we are not doing a traditional wedding reception, we invite you to join us afterward for an intimate dinner at Jack Stack Barbecue, followed by the after party at Parlor.

Question

Where will dinner be held and is there a menu to choose from?

Answer

Dinner will be held at Jack Stack Barbecue starting at 4:00 p.m. There will be an hour in between the ceremony and dinner for you to freshen up and travel between locations. We’ve reserved a special space for our guests to enjoy a meal together and continue the celebration. We’ve worked with the restaurant to offer a menu of phenomenal buffet options and an open bar. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar at the restaurant for our guests to enjoy with dinner.

Question

What happens after dinner?

Answer

Following dinner, we’ll continue the celebration at Parlor, a lively multi-level bar and event space. We’ll have a private space reserved and will be hosting the first round or two of drinks. Parlor also offers a variety of restaurants inside where guests are welcome to purchase food if they’d like something to eat later in the evening.

Question

Can I purchase additional food or drinks at the after party?

Answer

Yes. We plan to cover the first round of drinks for our guests that come to the after party. Beyond that, you are welcome to purchase food from one of the many restaurants located inside Parlor or more drinks!

Question

Will there be dancing or entertainment?

Answer

Our celebration is a little untraditional. We won’t have a DJ, but we’ll have curated playlists playing throughout the day to keep the vibe just right. We’ll be sharing our first dance at the ceremony venue, along with a father and daughter dance, and dinner will be reserved for good food, drinks, and conversation. Later at Parlor, feel free to let loose, grab a drink, and enjoy the night with us!

Question

Are there accommodation options nearby?

Answer

For out-of-town guests, we’ve compiled a list of recommended accommodations in Northern Kansas City and Downtown. These can be found on the "Travel" page.

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking will be available at each location. We recommend carpooling to the restaurant and Parlor for the after party as there could be limited spaces.

Question

Will transportation be provided between venues?

Answer

We won’t be providing transportation, but all locations are within a short drive or rideshare distance from each other. We’ll share parking info and addresses closer to the date.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you. While your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for, if you'd like to help us start this new chapter, we've created a cash fund for our honeymoon. Of course, there is absolutely no obligation—your presence is what truly matters to us.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Even though we love your little ones, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

Question

Who can I contact for any other questions?

Answer

Jessica at (619) 249-1946.
