RSVP's were due on July 20th. If you have RSVP'd that you are attending and have more updated information re: your travel plans and lodging, please update it if you can.
For the Welcome Party: Dressy-Casual - trendy, fun, relaxed and comfortable. Think of the attire that is dressier than what you would wear to work, but not as formal as what you would wear to formal events. For men, we would recommend khakis, slacks, polos, casual button downs. For women, we would recommend fun summer dresses. For the Reception: Black-tie optional. For men, we would recommend a tuxedo (only if you already own one; there is absolutely no expectation to purchase or rent one just for this event) or a suit with a tie. For women, formal cocktail dresses or floor length gowns are preferable. Please consider wearing comfy shoes as there will be walking involved to the ceremony and the cocktail hour takes place on grass (encourage block heels, wedges, and kitten heels; avoid stilletos). Bridesmaids are wearing black, however guests may also wear black if that is of preference! (It okay, we promise!)
Although we love your children, the wedding events will be "adults only". We understand that a trip to Portugal is a tremendous commitment and some may want to make it a family trip. If you are planning on traveling with children and will need accommodations, please inform the bride and groom or indicate on the RSVP. We have a family friend connection/contact who is willing and able to watch your children during the week and wedding events in your hotel room. Please reach out to Jess and she can forward along her contact!
While the only formal events are listed on our website - we hope that we can find opportunities during the week for guests to get together who are arriving earlier and staying later. There will not be a formal event the day after the wedding, however we are hoping to pick a meeting spot (I.e beach, pool) for anyone to join and hang out! Details TBD.
For the welcome party: we recommend using a ride-sharing option (i.e Uber, Bolt) as these are very affordable options in Portugal. For the wedding day: The ceremony is a 6-7 minute walk to the reception venue. There will not be any shuttles or wedding transportation scheduled.
See the travel section on our website for some recommendations and tips!
Please be sure to provide the bride/groom with your e-mail and best phone number if you haven’t done so. Announcements will be sent out via e-mail/text. You can add your e-mail address to your RSVP as well.
September is the tail end of the summer season with great weather! In the Lisbon/Estoril/Cascais area - Daily high temperatures average around 82°F to 76°F, rarely falling below 70°F or exceeding 90°F. Daily low temperatures average from 65°F to 62°F, rarely falling below 57°F or exceeding 68°F.
Yes of course! Let us know when you fill out your RSVP. We will try our best to ensure your accomodation can be met!
Unless you invitation specifies, we would prefer if it was just you. We wanted to able to invite our closest family and friends with keeping many necessary factors in mind when making the guest list. We hope you can understand. If this significantly impacts your travel plans, please reach out to the bride and groom.
