Eric Zender
Man of Honor
Eric Zender, or "Z" as Mandy calls him, is her Man of Honor and a fellow Firefighter/Captain at Shoreline Fire Department. Z was the Drill Instructor for her fire academy when she first started as a probationary firefighter at SFD. Although they started off as just coworkers, a camaraderie soon grew into a one-of-a-kind friendship. A shared interest/love for the outdoors & adventure, a similar outlook on life, as well as an almost immediate "brother/sister" bond quickly formed that has made Z a life long friend and adventure buddy. In Mandy's words: "There's no one I'd rather have standing next to me when Jess and I say "I do". Z is a part of our story, and one of the components of what brought us together. He truly is the brother I never had and I'm so grateful he's a part of my life."
Dax
Ring Bearer
Dax is the middle son of our "dog tribe"; he's a sassy hound dog with an old soul. He's the perfect outdoor adventure dog; friendly, mellow-mannered and built to run. Despite being our pup, Dax's absolute favorite person in the world is Z, Mandy's Man of Honor. It is quite fitting that Dax will get to walk down the aisle next to Z, as one of our ring bearers.
Rie
Maid of Honor
Ann-Marie, or "Rie," is Jess's older (but shorter!) sister and the maid of honor! Jess and Rie grew up sharing day dreams of what their future "older selves" could be, and Jess couldn't be happier that now she has Rie to stand by her side as her dream of finding "the one" has finally come to be reality. In Jess's words, "Rie is more than just my sister, she's my kindred spirit. She has been by my side for all of life's moments, and truly knows just how much finding Mandy means to me. She has celebrated with me each step of the way through Mandy and I's journey to saying I do, and I am beyond thankful and excited to have my "seestah" as my maid of honor!"
River
Ring Bearer
River, the littlest of our dog tribe, has a small stature but big personality. She's a Boston Terrier that loves adventure as much as snoring on the couch. River has been in the family since she was a pup, and has spent many years making Auntie Rie (the maid of honor) play fetch and cuddle. River will accompany Rie down the aisle as the littlest ring bearer.
