Garden party attire! Daytime dresses, jumpsuits, slacks, skirts, khakis, blouses and button-ups, blazers and cardigans are all encouraged. Suits are great but not necessary; ditto for ties. We will have wedding kippot available for guests of all genders who would like them. The ceremony will be outdoors by the lakeside, weather permitting--so plan your footwear for grass and your layers for sun/shade. Hats are nice, as long as they aren't SO FABULOUS they'll block the view of the people behind you!
Please RSVP by April 14, 2022 so we can have an accurate headcount for the catering. Earlier than that is even better!
Because it is a catered reception, we are not equipped for unexpected guests! If you were not invited with a plus one but want to bring one, please talk to Leah or Jessica before the RSVP deadline of April 14, 2022 and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Please plan on arriving at 1:00pm for schmoozing and snacks before taking seats. The ceremony will begin at 1:30pm, and the reception will follow.
Any of the three major NYC airports--JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark, plus the Westchester Regional Airport, may be convenient options, depending on your overall itinerary. The Westchester airport may be a great option if you're not planning on spending time over the weekend in the city, and especially for flights back home on Sunday night or Monday. However, it may be more expensive and limited in schedule than NYC airports.

By public transit: Take Metro North, Harlem Line, which is accessible from Grand Central Station (downtown) and Harlem 125th Street Station (uptown), to the Chappaqua Train Station stop or the Tarrytown train stop (which stops more frequently but slightly farther from venue). The train ride is approximately one hour. Edith Macy is located less than 10 minutes drive from Chappaqua Train station and 15 minutes from the Tarrytown Station-- Uber and Lyft are availailable and we're looking into a shuttle from Tarrytown (please let us know if you are interested). We will hold a small Shabbat dinner for immediate family on Friday night in Brooklyn, and a drop-in cocktail and nosh gathering in Manhattan on Saturday night for out-of-town family. Everyone is invited to the "last hurrah" outdoor potluck picnic on Monday 5/23 following the wedding in Central Park.
All guests must be fully vaccinated: at this point, that means your original vaccines AND a booster! Upload your vaccine card at: https://forms.gle/kP39ZUtkm9XTapkw8 or email proof to jessandleahwedding@gmail.com Serving and event staff will also be masked and vaccinated, per Edith Macy policy. We'll assess the mask policy, and pre-event COVID test policy, as the date gets closer. While dancing, late lunch, and the reception will be indoors, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (as long as it doesn't rain!). There are outdoor picnic tables if anyone prefers to eat outside. The indoor space at Edith Macy has wrapping around three sides of the room that we plan to have open for ventilation.
The ceremony will be on a grassy surface down a slight incline that levels off, with folding chairs. The nearby building for the reception is wheelchair accessible, as are the bathrooms in the cabin next door-- both with side entrances. The short walk from the parking lot to the wedding area may have some uneven surfaces; let us know if you want to bring your car right up to the ceremony/reception area or get a ride there. There is a quiet space/sensory friendly room for those who need in the next door cabin. Please let us know if you need any other accommodations at jessandleahwedding@gmail.com
