We look forward to seeing you in September!

We met online, when we were both about to quit the dating site! Josh was out of town visiting home for his dad's birthday. He used the smooth line of "how do you cook a prime rib?" although he knew how. Jess had no idea how to cook a prime rib so she used her friend google to find an answer. They don't remember who said we should meet up first but they started making plans. Josh called Jess on his way home from VT and Jess said lets meet today! Josh agreed and rushed home to shower and meet up with Jess. They met at a coffee shop. They both had a great time.... and in typical Jess fashion, she made the goodbye very awkward. Texting him as soon as she got to her car to apologize. They met 2 days later for dinner and the rest was history!

We moved quickly in the relationship and never looked back, we both knew we found the one! Josh moved into Jess's little apartment with her and her three cats Nala, Bear and Zach. Although Josh was hesitant on the cats he soon befriended Bear and they became two peas in a pod. Zach grew on him over time as well. Nala was a wee bit stand-off-ish. But we will get back to her later. We bought a house at the start of covid and moved in to the house on July 17th, 2020. We began making the new house our home. We have done many projects around the house including (but not limited to): - Mulching the garden beds each year with almost 200 bags of mulch each time! - Tearing up the old paver patio and installing a beautiful deck with a pavilion. The pavilion took 16 hours to build over two days and we only almost killed each other 3-4 times. - We repurposed the pavers from the old deck to go around the garden in the back and this past summer we built a firepit area with a swinging daybed! - Rented scaffolding and changed the light fixture in the entryway! (Had to rig said scaffolding because it didn't fit just right) - We have painted every room in the house and paid someone to do the ceilings after the scaffolding incident with the light fixture! After moving into the new house the cats went wild with all the new space to explore and Nala started to see Josh as someone she could tolerate. She moved from just tolerating Josh to loving him. We have grown together through these past few years and neither of us could imagine doing life without each other.

We spent some time looking at rings over the past few months and Jess knew the proposal was approaching! On August 5th Jess, Josh, Wade and Liz spent some time together having dinner on the patio and playing some games. Jess and Liz dominating cribbage (Liz we are still missing that Cribbage piece that fell under the deck...).... Jess went in for a drink refill and came back out to Who I am With You by Chris Young playing. Josh pulled Jess over to dance with him. Josh began telling her how he wanted to spend his life with her forever, that he spoke with the cats (Nala was skeptical but was okay with it when she realized she would get a diamond as well) and that they agreed and that he just needs her answer now! Jess of course said YES!!!

On September 28th, 2023 they will make it official surrounded by family and friends! We look forward to seeing you all and celebrating our love with the people who mean the world to us!
