Who knew that in addition to physics, we would find love at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland? To our surprise, we stayed in contact and visited each other for months. After two years, we made our relationship official and public to all of our friends and family. And a year after that in 2019, Johan proposed! Now, we are so looking forward to being married and forming a life together in the same country. We planned to celebrate with family in-person in May 2021. However in light of COVID-19, we recognize that this date and plan is not possible because it will put many of us at risk and borders remain closed which means that Johan's family cannot travel. We have decided to cancel this in-person wedding and instead hold a virtual wedding ceremony on Saturday, February 6 2021! This ceremony will be live-streamed and afterwards, we will host a short reception filled with speeches and cake cutting. We hope that everyone can join us to celebrate our union virtually.

¿Quién sabía que además de la física, encontraríamos el amor en la Organización Europea para la Investigación Nuclear (CERN) en Suiza? Nos mantuvimos en contacto y nos visitamos durante meses. Después de dos años, hicimos nuestra relación oficial y pública para todos nuestros amigos y familiares. ¡Y un año después, en 2019, Johan le propuso matrimonio! Ahora, estamos ansiosos por casarnos y formar una vida juntos en el mismo país. Planeamos celebrar con la familia en persona en mayo de 2021. A la luz del COVID-19, reconocemos que esta fecha y plan no es posible porque nos pondrá en riesgo a muchos de nosotros y las fronteras permanecerán cerradas, lo que significa que la familia de Johan no puede viaje. ¡Hemos decidido cancelar esta boda en persona y en su lugar celebrar una boda virtual el sábado 6 de febrero de 2021! Esta ceremonia será transmitida en vivo y luego tendremos una pequeña recepción llena de discursos y corte de pastel. Esperamos que todos puedan celebrar con nosotros para celebrar nuestra unión virtualmente.

Till vår förvåning lyckades vi hålla kontakten trots avståndet, och vi besökte varandra flertalet gånger. Efter två års tid blev vi officiellt ett par, och ytterligare ett år senare, 2019, friade Johan! Nu ser vi fram emot att gifta oss, och att skapa ett liv tillsammans i samma land. Tanken var att vi skulle kunna fira med våra familjer samlade tilsammans i maj 2021, men på grund av COVID-19 inser vi att detta inte kommer att vara möjligt. Gränserna är fortsatt stängda så Johans familj kan inte resa hit, och vi vill inte riskera folks hälsa. Istället för att skjuta upp bröllopet på obestämd tid, har vi valt att bjuda in till en virtuell vigsel Lördagen den 6e februari 2021. Denna cermoni kommer livestreamas, och efteråt kommer det bli en liten fest fylld med tal och tårtskärning. Vi hoppas att alla kan vara med och fira vårt giftemål virtuellt
