Our first date, and first time ever meeting, was at a Mexican restaurant, but we had "met" several days before on the online dating website Match.com. The first date was amazing! We didn't stop talking the entire time and later discovered that we were both nervous that we would drop something in our laps (Mexican can be messy people). We planned a second date 3 days later and never looked back! Match.com accounts got deleted, Jess moved in with Jim, and when he got the call to transfer to Buffalo, Jess quickly transferred her nursing courses and moved with him. Look for our signature cocktail at the reception "A Match Made in Heaven." Jim and Jess' favorite cocktail...Captain & Coke!

It was nearing our 3rd anniversary and Jess called Jim on the way home from work on that Friday. Jim wanted to go out for Mexican (see a theme here?), but Jess was tired and wanted to pick up chicken souvlaki salads instead. Jim caved and Jess got home with the salads. When she walked in the door their lab mix, Abby, ran to greet her. Jess noticed a beautiful pink flower on the landing where Abby had just come from. As she walked to the top of the stairs she saw a beautiful, huge bouquet of flowers in a vase. She walked into the kitchen to set the salads down and turned around to Jim down on one knee. He asked her to spend the rest of his life with him and gave her the ring of her dreams that he had made with the help of her dad, Bryan. They spent the night in, eating the salads, and sharing their good news. They went out for Mexican the next night! ;)
