To our friends and family: We're sorry to inform you that due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19 and its variants, we are canceling the reception portion of our wedding. We sincerely appreciate the support and congratulations we have received throughout the past year during our first year of marriage and while welcoming our baby girl into the world. We love you all and hope we can see you and toast to new beginnings individually or in smaller groups sometime this summer. Jess, Hannah and Madeline Galle

November 2nd started just like any other Saturday, Jess joined the yoga class Hannah was teaching and the two ran a few errands afterwards. It was just a normal weekend, or so Hannah thought. Jess suggested that they take some photos for a Christmas card. An odd suggestion, but Hannah agreed. She figured they could kill two birds with one stone as they could take photos and take the dog for a walk at the same time. The day before, Jess had scoped out a picturesque location in a forest preserve. He took Hannah by the hand and walked her out to a gorge that would make the perfect backdrop. What he hadn't planned for was for the snow to melt and make walking into the gorge almost impossible. Jess and Hannah were slipping and falling everywhere trying to set up the camera and get to the photo spot. But it all worked out just fine as Jess proposed and Hannah said yes! That evening they went to dinner at Woodfire (where they had their first date), too happy to care about the mud on their clothes.
This is a story of a boy and a girl named Jess and Hannah. But to understand this story, one must understand another important character, a girl named Jordan Held. Jordan had been friends with Hannah for quite some time. They worked together at Baskin Robbins, became roommates in college, and overall had a grand time together. Jordan was fond of Hannah. After college, Jordan worked with Jess for a number of years. Jordan was fond of Jess. He was a good coworker and a good friend. One day Jordan had an idea. An idea that most people would agree to be a quite reasonable idea. The idea was that Jess and Hannah should meet. After all, Jordan was fond of them both, they were both single, and both generally agreeable to be around. After some time, Jess began to agree with this idea. He asked if Jordan, Jordan’s husband Ryan, and Hannah could all meet together to watch Hockey. And so they did. Jess and Hannah met. And after some time, they began to grow quite fond of each other. So fond of each other, in fact, that they have decided to send the rest of their lives together. And so, as they say, they all lived happily ever after.
