A Hinge match for the history books, David and Jess originally met each other online. David liked her sense of humor and adventurous personality, Jess liked the fact he hated hot yoga. They met face to face for the first time April 24, 2021 at Crema Bistro in Delray, though Jess mistakenly told David the name was “Cream” (the name of a local soft-serve ice cream parlor)! Thankfully they showed up at the same place and stayed until the bistro closed 2 and a half hours later.

It was the first day of our Oahu, Hawaii trip. A little bleary-eyed from our 12-hour travel the day prior and 6-hour time difference, the day started out at the Dole Farm in Wahiawa. We toured the farm on the Pineapple Express Train and then successfully navigated the Pineapple Maze, though David’s sunglasses couldn’t find their way out with us. We then headed back to Honolulu for an afternoon hike on the Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail. During the hike we took a little path to the cliffside overlooking the ocean, David pulled out a ring, got down on his knee, and proposed!
