We were both living in Chicago when fate stepped in—literally. One night, we were headed to the same party: Jess with her friends, and Darren invited by a close friend who just so happened to be dating Jess’s college roommate. As luck would have it, we arrived at the building at the exact same time and rode the elevator up together. By the time we stepped out, something had already clicked. We spent the entire night talking and laughing, as if we’d known each other forever. Not long after, Darren asked Jess out on our first official date to Gilt Bar, and the rest is history. Since that elevator ride, life has been one incredible adventure. We've traveled the world together—from the beaches of Mexico to the mountains of Vail, from California coastlines to South Africa to meet Darren’s family. Through every step, every trip, and every moment, we’ve only grown closer. Now, we can’t wait to start our greatest adventure yet—marriage.
