While there are several parking lots around both the Hy-Line and Steamship Authority in Hyannis, my family and I have been parking in the same place for years. Chris Atsalis operates a parking lot at 242 Ocean St., Hyannis, MA, and is aware that our guests will be coming to the island the weekend of October 16. About a month before the date, feel free to text him at (508) 367-0024 to book a spot.
Nantucket is very small and most people will likely stay in and around town, which is easily walkable. There are also plenty of Ubers and taxis available, as well as the public bus, The Wave. While we recommend not having a car with you, if you wish to do so, you can either bring it over via the Steamship Authority ($242 roundtrip in the off season) or rent a car once on island. Please check the respective websites for more details. Most streets in town are cobblestone, so please plan accordingly. Ladies, I do not recommend stilettos.
Honestly, incredibly unpredictable. Some days bring warm sunshine with temperatures in the low 70s, and others are rainy and in the low 50s. Please check the weather leading up to the event on your own, and plan accordingly. Either way, bring sweaters and layers for the evening, as it gets chilly at night. It's an island, after all.
The wedding will take place in the backyard of the Feldmans' family home, which means you will be outside for the entirety of the evening. Please come prepared! We will have blankets available during the ceremony and a coat-check if is a cold October day. The reception will be inside a tent with heaters, if needed.
There will be a shuttle to and from the venue on Saturday, October 17. The shuttle will pick up guests at The Faraway hotel (29 N Centre St.), right in the center of town, and bring them back following the reception. The drop-off location is walking distance to the after party venue, The Gaslight.
The dress code is formal! You may wear whatever dress or suit you feel most comfortable in. Also note that the ceremony will take place in a grassy area.
At Friday's event at Cisco Brewery, there will be a food truck from Madaket Millie’s. Anything you order from the food truck—and the brewery, of course—will be on us. The menu includes chips and guacamole, quesadillas, rice bowls, tacos, and more. It is up to you if you wish to treat this as dinner! Otherwise, there are plenty of restaurants in town to choose from (check out our recommendations on the Things to Do page), since the event ends at 7 p.m.
