Upon arrival at a fourth of July party, Jess was made aware of a handsome Christian man, named Chris. Chris also had been made aware of Jess and while he watched her play slip-n-slide kick ball, he never introduced himself. Chris left the party early and all hope seemed to be lost. Until the next day, when Jess went on Facebook and handsome man, pops up on her people you may know list. Jess thought, "What the heck" and sends Chris a friend request. Chris wasted no time accepting the friend request and sliding into her DMs. That Saturday, they went on their first date where Jess demolished Chris in bowling and the rest is history.
Jess unknowingly forced Chris to change his proposal plans multiple times because she can't help but make plans. She first turned lunch with friends into a dinner which happened to be when he planned on surprising her. Chris changed the surprise dinner into a brunch with friends. Unbeknownst to Jess, Chris's friend was going to call on the car ride to brunch and ask for extra time. During this extra time, Chris stated that the two would be going to the park where they shared their first kiss. Even though it was below freezing outside, Jess went along with Chris's plan hoping her coat would keep her warm enough. Upon arrival at the park, Chris walked Jess to the exact spot where they shared their first kiss. He then began to read her ten things he loved about her. Jess now knew what was happening, so when he asked to marry her, she said of course.
