Newark Liberty International Airport

Newark Airport (EWR) is the closest to Belmar, at 45-60 mins drive or by NJ Transit Shore Lines route. If you are coming in from out of town and have not been in the area before, we recommend a rental car to make your stay convenient and enjoyable! There's lots of small towns along the shore to explore. Regardless of weather, a long drive down Ocean Ave from Sandy Hook down to Manasquan is a delightful way to see the area! There is an NJ Transit train line that goes from EWR to all of the local shore towns. This train is available from EWR via the Air Tram. Depending on schedules a transfer at the Long Branch station may be necessary.

Hotel

Local Inns + Hotels

Without any major chain hotels in the beach towns, we've collected a list of local inns and hotels that will help you enjoy the serenity of the Jersey Shore during "Local Summer" -- that magical time of the offseason when enjoying the beach is best! Asbury Park has several traditional and upscale hotels, while the other towns have smaller inns and B&Bs.

House Or Rental

Shore Town Airbnbs

Other than the local hotels, there are plenty of home rentals in the area! We've collected a list of some in Belmar and surrounding towns. The area is very walkable and each town will have its own character and bustling Main Street to explore. If you're looking for a lively bar scene, check out Asbury Park near Cookman Ave. If you'd like a quieter cozy beach town, try Ocean Grove or Spring Lake!
