We're Getting Married!

If you know us as a couple, it’s easy to tell that we are not the most romantic people, nor are we ones for dramatic details. But, somehow, (we may be a little biased) it seemed to start that way! It was the first week of college at Mount Mercy, and we both were looking for some time to kill. We stroll into the Pool Room, where we met. Immediately when Jess saw him, she had a gut feeling that this guy was like no one else she had ever met. August felt the same way, and that night, told his friends he was going to date that girl, for she was who he wanted to be with. It was inevitable that we were drawn to each other. Of course, we had so much fun together throughout college. We were so lucky that we had one another to grow with. After college, we took on the “real world” together. Neither one of us were content for long in the same place, so we packed up, quit our jobs, and transformed the back of Jess's Rav4 into a bed, and took off cross-country! We adventured, explored, and hiked our way through many national parks, wildernesses, and cities. After surviving 10,000 wild, beautiful, and smelly miles in a car together, we both knew we wanted to be with each other forever. Eventually, we knew it was time to return home and start a grounded life together. It is incredible to share some of the most fun-filled memories with one another, and the close group of friends that we have. We never would have thought that two people could grow, experience, and change so much together. Even writing this, we are so thankful that we have each other to love and share this life with. Welcome to our story, comprised of a whole lot of fun and love. We are so excited to share it with all of our friends and family.
