"The script is fun, the people are great, and there's a cute girl in the Costume Department." Sold. In the fall of 2011, Andy and Jessica met in the lunchline of a movie they were working on in Carefree, Arizona. While the exchange was brief their interests were piqued. They felt a growing connection throughout the project but nothing came of it. On the last day of the shoot, Andy made a point to say goodbye to Jessica. "That's the kind of man you want to marry" Jessica's boss said to her as he walked away, doubtful their paths would cross again. Two years later in the Fall of 2013, they worked on another movie together in Tuscon. The connection and mutual attraction continued to grow but the timing was still not right. In September 2018, Andy got an Instagram notification that Jessica had posted for the first time in awhile. He sent her a message saying the next time she came out to LA that he'd love to catch up. She took him up on the offer and they planned to meet up in November. When Andy saw Jessica again for the first time in 5 years, he felt like it was only days since he last saw her. The connection they had built years earlier was still there and continued to grow over dinner and drinks. They quickly planned the next time she could come out from Arizona. After that, Andy hatched a wild plan... He drove to Phoenix to spend Thanksgiving with Jessica and her family. He was introduced to Jessica's parents and extended family as Jessica's friend. The next day Jessica and Andy hopped in his car and made the 11 hour, 700+ mile drive from Phoenix to Pleasanton in order to attend "Danish Feast"; a tradition in Andy's family that occurs the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The next day, they drove back down to Los Angeles and Jessica flew home to Phoenix. After 16 hours in a car together, Andy and Jessica knew what they had was special. So in December 2018, after being friends for 8 years, Andy decided to ask Jessica out on their first offical date.
